The head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siewiera, submitted his resignation to President Andrzej Duda, informed the head of the Chancellery of the President, MaĆgorzata Paprocka. She added that the reason for this decision were the minister's personal plans.
Jacek Siewiera was appointed by the president Andrzej Duda for the position of head of the National Security Bureau in October 2022. On Friday, we reported on tvn24.pl that, according to the findings of Arleta Zalewska (“Fakty” TVN) and Robert ZieliĆski (tvn24.pl), Siewiera may leave his position before the May elections and before the end of President Andrzej Duda's term of office.

The head of the Chancellery of the President, MaĆgorzata Paprocka, told PAP on Saturday that “Minister Siewiera submitted his resignation from the position of head of the National Security Bureau to President Andrzej Duda.”

She added that the reason for resigning from her position is Jacek Siewiera's personal plans. – The minister decided to take part in a scholarship at the University of Oxford. He agreed his decision with the president, she emphasized.
When asked when Siewiera's departure from BBN should be expected, Paprocka emphasized that she could not indicate the exact date, but it would be “in the near future”.
