– The President and the Prime Minister were in Pomerania at that time. It was the only safe facility that guaranteed the highest clause for talks – said the head of the National Security Bureau Jacek Siewiera in “Fakty po Faktach”, asked about the conversation between Andrzej Duda and Donald Tusk, which took place recently on a warship. Siewiera talked about the background of that meeting.

Prime minister Donald Tusk revealed on Friday that he had a “discreet meeting” a few days earlier with the president Andrzej Duda. The head of government reported that it took place in the Tri-City on board a ship. The head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siewiera, was asked in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 about this conversation and whether it is true that it took place on the ORP General Tadeusz KoÅ›ciuszko warship.

– Yes, indeed, such a meeting took place on board a naval ship – he said. As he explained, “the president and the prime minister were in Pomerania at that time”. – It was the only safe facility that guaranteed the highest clause for talks. And gentlemen, when they meet, they talk about absolutely the most important things – he added.

He admitted that “the National Security Bureau was responsible for preparing this meeting together with the Navy.”

Siewiera also said that “the meeting was private” and the main part of the meeting took place without his presence.

– My task is (…) to bring about such a meeting and to provide the right conditions for such a conversation to take place for the benefit of the Republic of Poland. I am extremely pleased that we managed to bring about such a meeting – he added.

“This is very harmful, these are insinuations”

Siewiera also spoke about the Nord Stream case. On Thursday, the American newspaper “Wall Street Journal” reported that the authorities were responsible for the attack on the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines. Ukraine. This was denied by President Volodymyr Zelensky's advisor Mykhailo Podolak. On the other hand, the former head of the German foreign intelligence service (BND), August Hanning, told “Die Welt” that the attack must have taken place with Poland's support and with the approval at the highest level – of the presidents of Ukraine Zelensky and Poland Andrzej Duda.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Donald Tusk addressed “all patrons and initiators of Nord Stream 1 and 2” on Saturday on Platform X. “The only thing you should do today is apologize and keep quiet,” he wrote. Siewiera referred to this entry. “Bad news for the addressees: in Poland there is also unanimity on this matter,” he stated, adding a smiling emoticon to the message.

On TVN24, Siewiera again referred to Hanning's words and assessed that “this is very harmful, these are insinuations”. – The author of these claims did not present any evidence, not even suggestions, on what information, on what premises he bases such claims – he noted. – Throwing such accusations is not even in line with the function he held in the past – he added.

Siewiera also said that “it is good that the position of the Chancellor – who stressed that Germany's support for Ukraine is unwavering – is the position of the state.”

The host of the program, Piotr KraÅ›ko, asked the head of the National Security Bureau whether he had contacted the current head of German intelligence to clarify the matter or for him to comment on it. – We have many working contacts, rather at the level of the Chancellor's Office, because the National Security Bureau is the equivalent of the security advisor in the Chancellor's Office – Siewiera replied.

When asked if there had been a conversation on the subject, he replied that “after these statements, there has been no opportunity to hold such a conversation so far.” – However, there is no doubt that driving a wedge between the allies in NATOallies in the European Union supporting Ukraine, is only in the interest of the Russian Federation, he added.

– I am absolutely unaware of any evidence of any form of agreement or knowledge on the part of the president about the attacks on Nord Stream – he said.

Siewiera also commented on Prime Minister Tusk's response to accusations regarding attacks on Nord Stream. He assessed that “this reaction was a reaction that should be expected from the prime minister.”
