An ice storm is a phenomenon that brings heavy precipitation of freezing rain. These precipitation means that the roads and pavements are covered with ice. Such a phenomenon struggled on the weekend of Iowa and Eastern Nebrask. It led to numerous difficulties on the roads – the number 80 was closed, among others. There were about 100 accidents in Iowa, including one fatal one.
Fatal victim
A 57-year-old woman was killed in Eastern Nebrask. The Washington Sheriff's Sheriff Office announced that she had lost control of her car and hit the oncoming truck. The accident occurred on highway number 30 near Arlington. The second driver was slightly injured.
