The branch of the Energy Regulatory Office in Poznań has issued a license for the largest photovoltaic power plant in Poland, PAK-PCE Fotowoltaika in the Brudzew commune (Greater Poland Voivodeship), the ERO announced on Wednesday. The power of the power plant is 70 MW. Until recently, it was an area used by the Adamów mine for opencast lignite mining.
The farm was built by a consortium of Esoleo and PAK Serwis for the ZE PAK group. It consists of 155 thousand. 554 photovoltaic modules with a capacity of 455 Wp each and covers about 100 ha.
Solar farm in Brudzewo
Until recently, it was an area used by the Adamów Brown Coal Mine for opencast lignite mining.
As the ERO reminded on Twitter, this year the President of the Office issued 280 concessions for energy production in installations using solar radiation energy. The total installed capacity is approx. 740 MW.
– This is one of the largest investments in green energy in Poland, implemented by private capital. Our modern and currently the largest solar power plant in Poland is another milestone in the energy transformation of both ZE PAK and the entire region of Wielkopolska. We want the group to generate energy only from renewable sources by 2030 – incl. from sun, wind and biomass. Soon we are also launching the production of green hydrogen in Konin, which is the fuel of the future, ”said Piotr Woźny, president of ZE PAK, at the end of October.
