The mayor of Szczecin, Piotr Krzystek, will run in the 2024 elections

The incumbent mayor of Szczecin, Piotr Krzystek, announced that he will run for re-election. It will start under the slogan “A proven president. A better Szczecin every day.” This is the politician’s fifth start in the elections. Piotr Krzystek’s opponent will be Law and Justice MP Zbigniew Bogucki.

The decision was announced on February 9. During the press conference, the mayor of Szczecin, Piotr Krzystek, said that he wanted to run as a candidate for the mayor of the city.

– I think that a lot of good things have happened in Szczecin. We have managed to solve many problems together in recent years. This is not only the merit of the president, but of the entire staff of people, our councilors and all those who cooperated with us to make Szczecin better and more friendly to its residents every day – said the president.

Piotr Krzystek will run for the position of mayor of Szczecin for the fifth time. This time under the slogan “A proven president. A better Szczecin every day.”

Achievements and plans

The current president noted that he continues the program that has been clear for years. – This is about creating a modern space for living and functioning in Szczecin, a friendly space, close to water and a space where new businesses can develop – said Krzystek.

When asked about his achievements so far, he mentioned, among others: investments related to the offshore industry, road investments and the construction of the “Fabryka Wody” water park, which is scheduled to open in March this year.

The politician also announced his start on social media, where he noted that “he has strength, ideas and a well-coordinated team that changes Szczecin for the better.”

The Electoral Committee of Voters Piotr Krzystek’s Local Government Coalition will also issue letters to the Szczecin City Council and the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Assembly. The program convention and presentation of candidates are scheduled for February 14.

Legal advisor, manager

Piotr Krzystek was born on February 5, 1973. He is a legal advisor, manager, and a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Szczecin. He has been the mayor of Szczecin since 2006.
