Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met on Saturday during the Security Conference in Munich with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. “Leaders welcomed the UK and Poland’s unity of purpose and ever-closer cooperation as we stand shoulder to shoulder to help Ukraine and strengthen European security. The Prime Minister (Sunak) pledged to continue supporting Poland’s security, including by deploying the Sky Saber air defense system and by British troops stationed in Poland as part of NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence. The leaders discussed working with allies to provide continued strategic military support for the defense of Ukraine.

Cooperation in the field of security, energy, economy and culture was announced

It added that they agreed to continue to work closely together to deepen the two countries’ defense and security partnership, strengthen energy security and develop strong economic and cultural ties between the UK and Poland.

On Saturday, Sunak also spoke with the chancellor German Olaf Scholz, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Vice President USA Kamala Harris.
