Ministry of Development and Technology warns that recently entrepreneurs have been receiving emails with information about the need to verify data on the Biznes.gov.pl website, the lack of which is supposed to result in legal consequences. The message contains a link to a website posing as a Trusted Profile, where users are asked to provide their payment card details or login and password to internet banking. “If a trader enters his data on a fake website, fraudsters will gain access to his money and personal data,” the ministry warns.

Scammers impersonate Biznes.gov.pl. The Ministry reminds how not to be fooled

In connection with the fraudsters' activities, the ministry reminds that the real Biznes.gov.pl service never asks for payment card information or login and password for online banking. The ministry emphasizes that before entering such data during login, carefully check the website address and be especially careful if a link sent in a message led to it.

“Carefully read authorization messages and do not confirm transactions that you did not order. If the message makes you feel uneasy, do not act on emotions. Call the service provider directly on the phone number provided on their official website and verify information from email” – we read in the recommendations.

Where to report suspicious messages or impersonation attempts?

The Ministry of Development and Technology reminds that people suspecting online fraud or attempts at impersonation should report it to CSIRT NASK. Information about an alleged crime can be sent to the email address cert@cert.pl or to CERT website. Suspicious text messages can be sent directly to the number: 799 448 084. Remember to send the full message, without cutting out the link or fragments of content.
