1. Election debate on government television
Representatives of six electoral committees: Donald TuskMateusz Morawiecki, Szymon HołowniaKrzysztof Maj, Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus and Krzysztof Bosak they faced each other in an election debate on government television. They answered questions about migration, privatization, retirement age, security, unemployment and social benefits.
The PO leader pointed out that there was no participation in the debate Jarosław Kaczyński. Morawiecki, in turn, devoted a lot of time to Tusk in his answers.
Finally, Tusk proposed one more debate – on Friday, just before the election silence. He said that if they wanted, Morawiecki and Kaczyński “can be the two of them.” He added that it would not have to be led “by a PiS activist.” This sentence was commented by co-host Michał Rachoń.
2. Kołodziejczak not allowed to meet Kaczyński
Jarosław Kaczyński, who previously refused to participate in the debate, went to Przysucha on Monday.
Michał Kołodziejczak, running for the Sejm on the KO list, went to meet Kaczyński and announced that he wanted to talk to the head of the ruling party about farmers’ problems. However, the leader of Agrounia was not allowed to meet with the PiS president.
3. Earthquake in Slovakia. The tremors were felt, among others, in Rzeszów and Kraków
On Monday after 8 p.m. an earthquake occurred in eastern Slovakia. It had a magnitude of 5, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.
The tremors were felt in southern Poland. The National Headquarters of the State Fire Service reported that firefighters received a total of 13 reports of felt tremors in multi-family and single-family buildings in the Lesser Poland and Podkarpackie voivodeships.
“No damage was detected and no residents were evacuated. The situation is stable,” noted the State Fire Service Headquarters. Firefighters assured that they are monitoring the situation and thoroughly checking all reported cases.
4. Over 100 bodies on the kibbutz. More and more victims of the Hamas attack
Israel is defending itself against an armed attack by Hamas for another 24 hours. “Hamas has started a war. We will restore security in our country,” the Israeli military announced on the X platform (formerly Twitter).
According to the Israel Air Force, some of the largest operations against Hamas in history are being carried out in the Gaza Strip. In turn, the armed wing of Hamas announced the execution of Israeli prisoners in response to Israeli airstrikes on civilian homes in the Gaza Strip.
The bodies of over 100 people murdered by the Palestinian Hamas were found in Kibbutz Beeri in southern Israel, the Associated Press reported on Monday, citing the Israeli rescue service Zaka.
5. Zieliński is the captain of the Polish national team in Lewandowski’s absence
On Monday, the Polish national team started its training camp in Warsaw before two key matches in the European Championship qualifiers. Under the leadership of the new coach, Michał Probierz, the White and Reds will first face the Faroe Islands on Thursday, and then against Moldova on Sunday in the capital.
In the absence of Robert Lewandowski Piotr Zieliński will be the captain.
