Eight Poles were escorted from the plane at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport by the Dutch police. The men were said to refuse to follow the instructions of the crew who admonished them about the masks. As reported by the Dutch media, Polish citizens were also to block the passage on the plane, not wanting to take their seats.

According to the Dutch public broadcaster NOS, the plane from Poland arrived at Amsterdam Schiphol airport on Sunday around 8 am. According to a police spokesman, eight Polish citizens refused to follow the crew’s instructions, including wearing masks and taking their seats on the plane.


The Poles were led out of the plane and interrogated. Stancja NOS informed that due to the incident, the men did not get on the planned connecting flight, and moreover, they would have to pay a fine. The prosecutor will decide on further consequences, the spokesman for the police said.

The NOS noted that it was unclear which airline the plane on which the men traveled belonged. However, around 8 a.m., KLM machines from Warsaw and Kraków landed at Schiphol.
