On Tuesday in Warsaw, soldiers are trained to operate the Patriot system. – It’s about moving a unit, taking a position. It is also about harmonizing the individual elements that make up the Patriots team – said the Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak, who observed the exercises.

Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defence Mariusz Blaszczak on Tuesday he watched the training of the crews of the Patriot anti-aircraft and anti-missile batteries at the Warsaw-Babice airport in the capital city of Bemowo. Soldiers from the 3rd Warsaw Air Defense Missile Brigade, which was the first to receive Patriots, train there.

Błaszczak: the exercises are deterrent

– These are planned exercises. It’s about moving the unit, taking a position, it’s also about harmonizing the individual elements that make up the Patriots team – said the minister. He added that, as a rule, the army calls for not informing about such activities, but – he argued – the Ministry of Defense informed about these exercises consciously a few days ago. – However, we will consciously show some exercises. These exercises are designed to deter the aggressor. We are showing the combat readiness of the Polish Army – he said. The head of the Ministry of National Defense announced that this week a team of soldiers from the 3rd Warsaw Air Defense Missile Brigade will go for training to USA. – After his return, he will come with experience related to the implementation of the battlefield management system. The most modern system – said Błaszczak.
