The situation inside the United Right, including the junction between Law and Justice and the Understanding, was the subject of Saturday’s “Facts After Facts”. – If our postulates are not implemented, it can indeed be said that our coalition partners do not share the same values - admitted Anna Kornecka (Agreement). – Will it be another edition of the entry and exit from the government coalition known to the public? During Saturday’s board meeting Jarosław Gowin’s agreement made a difference: “We will not support tax changes, changes in the financing of local governments and changes in the media law without taking into account our postulates. Our staying in the United Right depends on this.” The talks were held in connection with the dismissal of Anna Kornecka (Understanding) from the function of deputy minister of development, labor and technology. The prime minister dismissed her from her post only a day after she criticized the assumptions of the Polish Order, PiS’s economic program, on TVN24, and more precisely – the issue of tax changes. Kornecka already has a new position, she has become the minister’s plenipotentiary for Investments and Green Deal in the Gowin ministry.
Kornecka, together with Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, Piotr Zgorzelski (PSL), discussed the situation in the United Right in the Saturday edition of “Faktów po Faktach”.
Kornecka: The agreement set an ultimatum
Anna Kornecka, when asked if the motion for the Agreement to leave the coalition voted on Saturday, warned that she was not a member of the Agreement’s National Board. – But from the information I got, such a request was not voted on by the board. The Management Board today made programmatic decisions, formulated an ultimatum, boundary conditions for the Understanding party, so that we could continue to work for the ideas that guide us, she said.
She listed economic freedom, personal freedom, and media freedom and pluralism. She added that without corrections to the Agreement in the postulates of tax changes, changes in the financing of local governments and issues related to the media law, the party will not support these solutions.
Asked why the Agreement remains in the coalition despite significant differences, Kornecka explained: – We set our conditions, we say: I check. Now the action is on the side of our coalition partners so that they can respond to such boundary conditions. These are our principles which we follow and which we defend very actively when acting in the public sphere.
– Therefore, it can be concluded that if our postulates are not implemented, it can indeed be said that our coalition partners do not share the same values that we are fighting for – she added.
She also assured that the Agreement was a “pro-government, pro-development, semi-economic” party.
Zgorzelski on the dispute of the Agreement with PiS
Piotr Zgorzelski from PSL turned to Kornecka. – Please accept my words of appreciation for an attitude, which is rare these days, to stand in the truth and risk your political career in exchange for exposing the hypocrisy of Polish disorder (a reference to the Polish Order – ed.), Which in fact is, he said. “You deserve respect,” he added.
Zgorzelski asked the question: – Will it be another edition of the entry and exit from the government coalition known to the public and to all of us? In my opinion, there is a specific non possumus (we cannot – ed.) – he assessed.
