– Minister Zieliński and his successors simply gave such, one could say, unofficial orders that we should rather get involved in securing the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity as an institution, but rather not take an active part in this initiative – explains the junior inspector. Andrzej Szary, chairman of the provincial board of NSZZ Policemen of the Greater Poland Voivodeship. So does the Minister of Interior and Administration. – I will send an official letter at the beginning of next week asking for the full involvement of the services to play with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity – announces Marcin Kierwiński, Minister of Interior and Administration. The police have already expressed their willingness to participate in events and fundraisers – after years of break. Acting Chief Commander of Police, Inspector Marek Boroń, donated a set of pens with a special dedication to the auction. – What abnormality did we have to come to for such obvious matters to be so surprising – says Jerzy Owsiak.
After a time when the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity was the object of the authorities’ reluctance that was incomprehensible to the organizers, Jurek Owsiak talks about a return to normality. – There’s music somewhere, somewhere we go, we have fun, we spend our time. We missed such meetings – admits Owsiak. This year, the Prison Service auction will include, among other things, tickets to visit prisons. – First of all, I intend to send my artistic work to auction, and the Prison Service not only participates in the auctions, but also donates the handicrafts of the convicts – explains Lt. Col. Arleta Pęconek from the Prison Service.
The staff of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity hopes that the State Fire Service and embassies will return to participate in the final. The new government gives the green light to this. – Anyone who has such a need – regardless of whether they are a policeman, a soldier, or an official – can and should be able to participate in this type of actions – emphasizes Jan Grabiec, head of the prime minister’s office. All this for lung health after the pandemic.
