Chief Police Commander Marek Boroń and national prosecutor Dariusz Korneluk are going to the Polish-Belarusian border, said KGP spokeswoman Katarzyna Nowak.

As she informed, the Chief Commander of the Police will meet on Saturday with police officers who have been on duty since June 4 in the area directly next to the Polish border with Belarus.

The spokeswoman for the Police Headquarters emphasized that police officers deal with attacks and aggression from migrants. “Every day, police officers successfully prevent attempts by numerous groups of migrants to illegally cross the border by force. Every day there are serious incidents during which officers are forced to use direct coercive measures in the form of hand-held gas and pepper throwers,” she said.

She added that police cars were damaged by stones and branches thrown at them.
