Arkadiusz Arciszewski, president of the Trakcja joint-stock company controlled by the State Treasury, has been detained – the company announced in a statement. Trakcja operates in the railway, tram and road infrastructure construction sector.

The president of Trakcja, Arkadiusz Arciszewski, was detained on the order of the National Prosecutor's Office – the company announced in a stock exchange announcement on Monday. Trakcja stated that it had no information about the reasons for the detention.

According to the information available, procedural activities are ongoing, the company noted.

Trakcja is a company listed on the WSE. The majority owner of its shares (83%) is PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe, which in turn is 100% owned by the State Treasury. Trakcja operates in the construction sector of railway, tram and road infrastructure in Poland. It operates mainly on the Polish and Lithuanian markets.

Who is the president of Trakcja?

Arkadiusz Arciszewski was appointed president of Trakcja on April 18, 2024. He has been associated with the company since October 2015, holding, among others, the functions of contract director, regional director, operational director, and from October 2019 to June 2022 he was vice-president. At Trakcja, he was responsible for the organization, preparation, implementation and supervision of railway, road and bridge, city and energy infrastructure contracts. He supervised the processes related to offers and purchases – according to information from Trakcja.

Before taking up the position of president of Trakcja, Arkadiusz Arciszewski served as vice-president of the management board of Polimex Infrastruktura. Previously he worked, among others, for companies such as: Budimex, Strabag, Polaqua, Polimex and PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe, where he served as deputy director of the Investment Implementation Center.
