A coin for the prime minister

– In my opinion, it was not proper to accept, or rather give, such a coin. Although it is worth praising that the prime minister included it in the Register of Benefits, which many politicians have problems with keeping. We also do not know whether the Prime Minister will keep the gift or, for example, transfer it to the warehouse – notes Krzysztof Izdebski, an expert of the Batory Foundation, in an interview with Rzeczpospolita.

The daily asked the Government Information Center whether Mateusz Morawiecki will keep the coin. “The Act does not regulate what the recipient should or can do with the reported benefit,” wrote the CIR. NBP did not answer the question where the idea of giving the Prime Minister a gift came from.

– The gift came in the mail. We have no idea why NBP decided to send it. I don’t know if the prime minister has ever seen him in person – one of the officials of the prime minister’s office said anonymously in an interview with “Rzeczpospolita”.
