Unfortunately, such an illegal landfill is in my Częstochowa, said Izabela Leszczyna, a member of the Civic Coalition, in “Fakty po Faktach”. She added that removing it will cost almost PLN 70 million and “half of it must be paid by residents”. She referred to TVN24’s findings that there are over 400 illegal landfills in Poland with life and health-threatening waste. Left-wing MP Tomasz Trela commented on Jacek Sasin’s reaction to the case and sent an “appeal” to the head of the MAP.
Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin announced on Thursday that Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa was obliged by him to solve the problem with the waste of the Nitro-Chem company. “Although Nitro-Chem has been harmed by dishonest contractors, the waste will be sent back for recycling,” he wrote on Twitter.
According to TVN24 journalists, there are over 400 illegal landfills in Poland, where criminals have left life and health-threatening waste. Among them there are also those where the so-called red waters, formed during the production of TNT, have been abandoned. On the other hand, only one factory produces TNT in Poland: Nitro-Chem from Bydgoszcz.
Trela: I have an appeal to Minister Sasin
MPs Tomasz Trela from the Left and Izabela Leszczyna from the Civic Coalition commented on this issue in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24. – When I hear that Jacek Sasin is up to something, I immediately say to all the inhabitants of the surrounding towns: be careful. Because Jacek Sasin is known for the fact that if he takes up something, he will surely screw it up – said Trela.
– I am afraid and I have this appeal to (…) Minister Sasin: please do not do anything for these two months. Please do not hurt people, please do not spend our public money – added the MP of the Left.
As he said, “we will do it after October 15.” – Because we will collect money from the National Reconstruction Plan. Among other things, there is money for the disposal of such illegal or legal landfills and we know how to do it. Because we have experts, we have local government officials, we have practitioners, and we do not have politicians like Jacek Sasin – he said.
Hazel: This is a scandal. I don’t believe in Sasin
– Unfortunately, such a landfill is in my Częstochowa – admitted Leszczyna. – I hope and deeply believe that the inhabitants of my city will remember exactly on October 15 who funded us this landfill – that it is a state-owned company. Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa – secondly, the authorities of my city have been trying for many months for this company to take responsibility for it and for money – she added.
She pointed out that “for now, we know that it will cost almost PLN 70 million and half of it must be paid by the inhabitants of Częstochowa.” – And it’s a scandal. And I, like my colleague, do not believe in the Prime Minister (former Deputy Prime Minister – editor’s note) Sasin. I don’t believe what he says,” she said.
