– The Sejm will now decide what to do next. For now, the committee's opinion is positive – said Kazimierz Smoliński (PiS) in “Kropka nad i”, referring to the rules committee's support for the motion to detain and bring Zbigniew Ziobro before the investigative committee for Pegasus. Aleksandra Leo (Poland 2050) assessed that Ziobro “not only does not want to appear” before this body, but also “does everything to divert attention from the heart of the matter.”

The Sejm Committee on Rules, Deputies' Affairs and Immunities supported the motion on Tuesday arresting PiS MP Zbigniew Ziobro and bringing him before the investigative committee for Pegasus.

This decision was commented on “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 by MP Aleksandra Leo (Poland 2050) and Kazimierz Smoliński (PiS), vice-chairman of the regulations committee.

As Smoliński said, “by a majority of votes, the regulations committee gave a positive opinion on the proposal of the committee for, generally speaking, Pegasus.” – The Sejm will now decide what to do next. So far, the commission's opinion is positive, he emphasized.

Ziobro “does everything to divert attention from the heart of the matter”

When asked why she thought Ziobro did not want to appear before the investigative commission for Pegasus, Leo replied that “not only do I not want to appear, but he is doing everything to divert attention from the heart of the matter.” – That is, whether Pegasus was used illegally, why it was used illegally, why money from the Justice Fund was spent – she pointed out. She also recalled that Ziobro “failed to appear four times.” – Except he didn't have it the last two times sick leave – said Leo.

She also referred to the allegations made by PiS about the illegality of the Pegasus commission. – The myth of this illegality was busted a few days ago during the colonel's interrogation (former head of ABW Piotr) Pogonowskiwhen he took the oath before the commission. You don't take an oath before a social meeting, she emphasized.

She admitted that “he was brought to the committee, but then, by taking an oath and referring to the Sejm regulations (…), he refuted the myth of illegality.”

Meanwhile, Smoliński said that Pogonowski “was brought in, so he had to appear.” – Whether he recognizes the commission or not is an individual assessment of everyone who appears before the commission – he said. PiS MP.
