The “Justice March” on Moscow revealed – as Prigozhin stated – “serious problems in the security sphere throughout the territory” Russiabecause during it the Wagner Group blocked “all airports and military branches” on its way.

He also reiterated that the mutiny was triggered by a rocket attack on the Wagnerian forces, which were heading towards Rostov-on-Don to hand over military equipment near the headquarters of the Southern Military District. According to his words, 30 mercenaries were killed in the attack.

He also said that he was Belarusian Alexander Lukashenko proposed to him to find solutions enabling the Group to continue operating within the framework of the law.

Prigozhin’s whereabouts are still unknown

In the 11-minute recording, Prigozhin reminded that on July 1, the Wagner Group was to cease to exist. On that day, the deadline for signing contracts of mercenaries of Russian military formations with the Ministry of Defense expired.

He reported that only “one to two percent” of mercenaries signed a contract with the ministry. The rest were to refuse, which, in his opinion, “will lead to the complete loss of the combat capability of the Russian army.”

Prighyn did not disclose where he is. According to the agreement he made with Lukashenko, he was to go to Belarus.

On Saturday, the mercenaries of the Wagner Group belonging to Prigozhin they seized the headquarters of the Russian army in Rostov-on-Donand then began to move towards Moscow. The Wagnerian troops stopped about 200 kilometers from the capital. On Saturday evening, Prigozhin announced a retreat and the withdrawal of mercenaries to field camps to “avoid bloodshed”. This was supposed to be the result of negotiations between the Belarusian authoritarian leader Alyaksandr Lukashenko and Prigozhin, conducted in consultation with Putin.

Prigozhin has long been at odds with part of the Russian military establishment leading the invasion of Ukraine. He demanded “the restoration of justice” in the army and the removal of the defense minister from power Sergey Shoigu.
