The Sejm agreed to apply a detention center for a period of 30 days against the former Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro. The application in this case was sent by the Commission for Penasus.

Ziobro, who spoke during the application, spoke about “ostentatiousness and insolence in breaking the law” by the rulers. He argued that, by virtue of the Constitutional Tribunal's decision, the Pegasus Committee was banned. – As a lawyer, as a former prosecutor general, as a former minister of justice, I could not go to agenda that this committee ceased to be legal – he added.
– They deliberately pledged a trap on me (…) to put it in a man's prison, thanks to this trap. Not because I persistently evaded the delivery (to the commission) by the relevant services to the Sejm, because I did not avoid, on the contrary, just to find an excuse to close me as a political opponent – said Ziobro.
Earlier, the regulatory committee, deputy and immunity matters decided to submit a proposal to the Sejm to accept the application.
The MP may not be arrested without the consent of the Sejm, i.e. without lifting his immunity in a given case. After such an agreement, the application regarding the arrest goes to a court that makes a decision in this case.
