Strong allegations against Fernando Santos. “How can you take someone like that seriously?”

It turns out that many people had a problem with Santos' personal hygiene. “What did Santos leave behind? A lot of saliva on the carpet. He spat wherever he could. He didn't care about any circumstances. If he wanted to spit, he would spit. Whether it was in front of footballers or high-ranking figures in Polish football,” said one of the interviewees. He didn't wash himself. He didn't use deodorant. He always had a kilo of dandruff on his service jacket.. Well, how can you take someone like that seriously?” – added another interviewee. According to people working at Santos, the former coach also had problems with aggression. “He was such a boor that it's mind-boggling. The first match, against the Czech Republic in Prague. The squad goes to the stadium, and Santos starts yelling at the driver. We don't even know why. I f*** him, excuse me, from the top down” – we read.

Fernando Santos did not want to establish closer relations with the players

One of the interviewees admitted that Santos did not fully understand the role of a coach. “He assumed that (…) he was only there to name the line-up. He didn't want to and didn't feel the need to build bonds with the players. or with representatives of the Polish Football Association. That was his biggest problem,” he explained. Many people also drew attention to his communication problems. “He ordered himself to change the position offices to a more central location. (…) and he didn't let anyone in anyway,” we read. Santos was also said to have an obsession with who could be present during his training sessions. “Only he, Grzegorz Mielcarski, another of Joao Costa's assistants, and the goalkeeping coach had permission. When someone else stepped onto the pitch, Santos immediately started foaming,” the informant revealed. SEE ALSO: Santos lost his job because of Lewy? That's what the Spanish media claim.
