Currently, up to 12,000 to 15,000 migrants may stay in Belarus, said Stanisław Żaryn, spokesman for the minister for the special services coordinator, in an interview with the Polish Radio. As he added, according to the estimates of the Polish services, there are about 4,000 migrants at the border with Poland. We assume that this group will be “supplemented by more people who will come from Minsk to our border” – said Żaryn.

According to information from Polish authorities and services, as well as videos posted by them on social media, from Monday morning a large group of migrants gathered on the border between Belarus and Poland, making attempts to cross the border by force. Migrants are in the vicinity of Kuźnica, where they have set up a camp. They are guarded by the Belarusian services.

The spokesman of the minister for the special services coordinator, Stanisław Żaryn, in an interview with Polish Radio 24 said that “our estimates concerning the general presence of migrants in Belarus indicate that there may be as many as 12,000 to 15,000 of them.” – This is the group that made it [Alaksandrowi – przyp. red.] In recent months, bring Lukashenka to Belarus – he said.

– Yesterday we estimated that there may be around 4,000 migrants who have been led to the border with Poland. These are migrants who are under the control of Belarusians. They were divided yesterday into different groups, set up camps for the night and this group will – as we assume – be supplemented by more people who will come from Minsk to our border – Żaryn said.

He assessed that “the situation is very tense, very difficult and we expect it to be an attempt to permanently destabilize our border by thousands of migrants who will undertake various aggressive actions against Poles.”

“We do not expect Lukashenka to change his tactic”

– We know that Lukashenka is looking for new opportunities to transport people to Minsk. Moscow is one of the transport hubs used to power the migration route. Just like the airport in Damascus, Beirut or Dubai. All these airports are involved in transporting people to Belarus, Żaryn pointed out.

As he said, “unfortunately we do not expect Lukashenka to change his tactics.” – He will still be interested in gathering huge masses of people to destabilize the border of the European Union – he added.

– We are dealing with events that fit together with other actions of the Russian Federation against the West. It seems that this is another version, another tool that is used – this time by Lukashenka – by the Russian Federation to destabilize Central and Eastern Europe and disrupt the possibility of cooperation within NATO or the European Union – he said.
