Last night, the inhabitants of part of Poland could see a unique spectacle in the sky. All thanks to silver clouds. We received photos of this phenomenon on contact24.
On the night of Monday to Tuesday, silvery clouds were visible in the part of the country. On contact24 we received photos of this extraordinary phenomenon from Dąbki (West Pomeranian Voivodeship) and Radomska (Łódź Voivodeship).
Silver clouds – how to observe them?
Silver clouds belong to mesosphere clouds – the highest, which can be seen from the surface of the earth. The conditions conducive to their observation occur in late spring and summer around dusk or dawn, when the sun is from 6 to 16 degrees below the horizon. In the case of the northern hemisphere, their observation period begins in mid -May and lasts until the end of August.
We will have the best chance of seeing the clouds when we go outside the city, far from its lights. It is also worth ensuring that the view does not obscure the trees or other elements of the landscape. Silver clouds can be observed with the naked eye.
