Śląsk Wrocław players again disappointed their fans. On Saturday afternoon, they lost in the outstanding match of the 3rd round in front of their own audience with Radomiak 1:2 (1:0). After this defeat, the Wrocław team has only 10 points in 18 games, and they are eight points behind the safe zone.
Michał Loska blurted out to a journalist after the match. “Stupid question”
Michał Kornacki, a Canal+ journalist, asked the following question after the match: You are losing the match, you are 10 points away from a safe place, so what is it like? What is the situation – difficult, extremely difficult? Because it cannot be denied that it will be very difficult to get out of this relegation zone.
Tomasz Loska, the goalkeeper of Śląsk Wrocław, got angry after such a question and immediately fired at the journalist.
– Honestly, it was a stupid question. What can be the situation when you win one match in the league for half a year? We live by faith alone. I'm just ashamed, even though I'm returning to the top league after some time. I believed very much in the team and in myself. If he knew what was going on, it would be different. Unfortunately I don't know. We can't cope with it. What can I beat around the bush – the situation is tragic. We have to be spring champions to stay alive. Looking at what's happening, it's going to be hard. I was relegated in Termalica and now I can't imagine that a club as big as Śląsk Wrocław would be in the first league – said Loska.
Look: The Spanish do not want to play with Poland in the el. to the World Championships. Here's why
The journalist said that a new coach would probably come to Wrocław and asked Loska how he had to start building the team
– When a new coach comes, he will think about it. I don't know if there will be a new one or if Hetel will remain. These are organizational matters, the sports department is responsible for them. If they take a new coach, I hope it will be one with the vision to keep the team and help us. However, we are the ones who have to do whatever it takes to get results. Today we had a result, we were leading 1-0 again, but again we had nothing in the second half, we conceded goals ourselves. We will be punished for this approach, Loska added.
Śląsk Wrocław will face Piast Gliwice at home in the first match of the new year in the league. The meeting will take place on February 3 at 19.
