End of strike at Paroc plants
“Limitation of junk contracts, 58 contracts for an indefinite period for employees in August 2021 and guarantees of system solutions from 2022. We have the second salary indexation this year, which will cover 600 people out of 800 employees, as well as a valorization package for 2022- 2023 “- Ilnicki handed over the results of the negotiations.
He added that “there is finally what employees cared about the most – a radical increase in the internship allowance”.
“Its highest amount will be 18% of the minimum wage every month. The allowance will also be automatically indexed every year. Some employees will gain up to 600 percent on the new bonus compared to the previous one. We have also negotiated a pool of PLN 300,000 for benefits for employees during the strike period. “So the myth is that you don’t pay for the time of the strike. It was a really great effort. We negotiated today for 15 hours” – wrote the representative of the national board of OPZZ Konfederacja Pracy (Confederation of Labor) on Facebook.
He also explained that “production has started”. In his opinion, “Poland can learn consistency, persistence and cooperation from Trzemeszno.” “Where bonds are built, it is easier to support each other in the fight for the common good,” he said.
At the end of June, trade unionists associated with the Confederation of Labor belonging to the OPZZ decided on a warning strike. The employees demanded, inter alia, better pay conditions, as well as guarantees of employment contracts for an indefinite period. The OPZZ noted that the employees’ demands were still unfulfilled.
A strike referendum was held at the end of July. “Over 60 percent of the staff voted, of which the overwhelming majority – over 97 percent – voted for a general strike,” the OPZZ press office informed. As he added, the strike is to last until further notice.
On Tuesday, striking trade unions said on social media that “Paroc employee support continues” and 120,000 people have already been collected in an online fundraiser. zloty.
The protest was supported by one of the leaders of the party Together, Adrian Zandberg. – We are dealing with unreasonable stubbornness on the part of the employer. Each day of this strike costs the company greater than the fulfillment of these modest employee demands – said the politician.

“We have stopped the workplace. The furnaces are shut down, the production has stopped. The crew refused to work as a whole because our demands are not met. The company does not. can employ people in semi-junk fixed-term contracts “- he informed on Wednesday (August 4) in the post on Facebook of the Workers Union OPZZ Confederation of Work in Paroc Trzemeszno.
