The TVN Foundation campaign for the hospital in Nysa is underway. “I have never seen such an advertising block in my life”

– There is a big cleaning going on in the hospital. (…) Many donations are coming thanks to the state and we are collecting, using all the free rooms, warehouses to collect these donations. And I am also collecting them in my office where I work, but also in the conference room, we are using these spaces – said Artur Kamiński, director of the hospital in Nysa.

He noted that “the number of gifts, support, such good hearts that flow to the district hospital in Nysa, (this – ed.) is really very, very large”.

– All the funds that the Foundation collects are transferred to the hospital in Nysa. This campaign exceeds our wildest expectations. We started with the Foundation immediately transferring half a million zlotys to the hospital. From what we know, we are the first organization that has already physically transferred money to the hospital – said Zuzanna Lewandowska from the TVN Foundation.

She added that “to date, thanks to our campaign 'TVN Foundation for the hospital in Nysa', we have managed to collect over PLN 6 million”.

– This is something incredible. We are being called and contacted by various companies. We would like to thank our viewers for supporting our campaign with their hearts. Yesterday we had a 14-minute advertising block, the entire income from which is donated to our campaign – emphasized Lewandowska.

She also said: – I know from our colleagues from the company that they simply had to close the pool at some point to prepare everything. 14 minutes is something I have never seen such an advertising block in my life. There were more companies and they also contacted us directly to the foundation. There are private companies that gave us funds directly as a donation to the foundation, for our purpose. And we invite other private companies to contact us.

The hospital in Nysa is one of many places affected by the flood. The water entered the emergency department, the laboratory and completely destroyed expensive equipment such as tomographs, resonance imaging and the only hyperbaric therapy facility in the province.

The TVN Foundation responded immediately and donated PLN 500,000 to help the hospital and launched a charity collection.

TVN SA will donate PLN 2,866,500 from the charity advertising blockwhich was shown on Friday evening after “Fakty”.

All proceeds from the campaign will be allocated to financial support for the renovation of the hospital, as well as the purchase of selected equipment and furnishing of the District Hospital in Nysa. The action continues.

The TVN Foundation has been supporting Polish healthcare for 23 years. During this time, it has been involved in many charity projects, including financing the renovation of over 20 hospital wards in Poland, as well as the construction of several specialist facilities, including the Psychiatry and Oncology Center at the Children's Health Center. The Foundation helps those excluded from healthcare and supports medical facilities. It was natural for it to decide to support the hospital in Nysa that was affected.
