The United States will transfer DPICM artillery cluster munitions to Ukraine, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has announced. As he emphasized, the decision was dictated by the decreasing resources of artillery shells.

He said that Ukraine had long sought these weapons, and in the face of declining stocks of ordinary artillery ammunition, it would be a “bridge” until production was increased.
