1. Sikorski shortened his visit to the USA
Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski cut short his visit to the United States due to an urgent Cabinet meeting regarding the flood situation.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was to meet with the Polish community in Michigan on Friday and Saturday and visit the headquarters of the company producing Abrams tanks.

2. Problems of the plane with the president on board

President Andrzej Duda appointed Marcin Kierwiński to the Council of Ministers. He will be the government's plenipotentiary for post-flood reconstruction. – The task is extremely difficult. Therefore, I am asking the minister to seriously consider help from our side, if necessary, said the president.
Prime minister Donald Tusk he said he was “very impressed” by Duda's words. According to the head of government, they sounded like a very important appeal to be together in the face of floods.
4. PiS postponed the congress
The PiS congress scheduled for September 28 has been postponed to October 12, said party spokesman Rafał Bochenek. Officially, the decision was made due to the flood situation.
– They will announce help for flood victims and boast about their ideas on how they will distribute the money to people. What about us? Among their own people and about their own people – one of the PiS politicians who knows the background of the decision told the reporter of “Fakty” TVN, Arleta Zalewska Jarosław Kaczyński. Another adds: “They are working at the grassroots for Poles, and we are at a party event. We couldn't allow that.”
5. Mayor of New York indicted
Prosecutors accused New York Mayor Eric Adams of accepting illegal campaign contributions and taking advantage of luxury travel offered by citizens. Turkeywho wanted to influence him in this way.
He is the first mayor in the city's history to be charged while in office. Adams, 64, has denied committing the crime and said he would fight the charges. He added that he would not give up.
