The day of waiting for the clearance of trucks in Bobrowniki continues

There is a 24-hour waiting time for the clearance of truck drivers at the border crossing with Belarus in Bobrowniki (Podlasie) – KAS informed on Wednesday evening. Such a waiting time has lasted since the morning, as reported by KAS, about half a thousand trucks are standing in line. During the 12-hour day shift, 307 trucks leaving Poland were cleared. Bobrowniki is currently the only border crossing in Podlaskie with Belarus that supports road freight traffic. Due to the long queue before last weekend, the buffer zone was reintroduced to improve traffic on the road to the border crossing in Bobrowniki. It started before Waliłami Station.

The warning about the creation of this zone disappeared from the Regional Warning System on Wednesday, which means that the queue is no longer so long that it has to be split.

Crisis on the border with Belarus

Due to the migration crisis, the border crossing in Kuźnica (Podlaskie Voivodeship) was closed on November 9. “The Polish side was forced to take such actions due to the lack of reaction from the Belarusian side to attempts to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border by organized groups of illegal migrants in the area of the road border crossing in Kuźnica,” the Border Guard said in a press release.

Travelers are directed to the border crossings in Terespol, Koroszczyn or in Bobrowniki in Podlasie.
