Mark Brzezinski was nominated by the President of the United States, Joe Biden as the US ambassador to Poland, the White House announced on Wednesday. Brzezinski is the son of Zbigniew Brzeziński, national security adviser to President Jimmy Carter, and a grandson of Tadeusz Brzeziński, a Polish diplomat and consular officer.

Marek Brzeziński is still in the process of approval by the Senate.

Brzezinski is a lawyer and diplomat. During the tenure of another US president, Barack Obama, Brzezinski was the US ambassador to Sweden.

Who is Mark Brzezinski

Mark Brzezinski is the son of Zbigniew Brzezinski, national security adviser to President Jimmy Carter, and grandson of Tadeusz Brzezinski, Polish diplomat and consular officer. He is the brother of Mika Brzezinski, US MSNBC journalist, and Ian Brzezinski, Atlantic Council expert and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Europe and NATO.

In January this year, the ambassador left the post in Warsaw Georgette Mosbacher. After the diplomat’s departure, the work of the American embassy was headed by the charge d’affaires Bix Aliu.
