The yellow, “papal” train has been in the schedule of the Polregio carrier since the beginning of June. It arrived there – as the voivode of Lesser Poland, Łukasz Kmita himself admits – at his request. The new connection connects Kraków with Olkusz, where the voivode lives. The journey lasts 80 minutes, during which you can see the photos from the times of the pontificate of John Paul II.The voivode points out that the train has nothing to do with the upcoming elections.

“Pociąg Papieski” – as we read on the Polregio website – offers passengers “warm colors, air-conditioned interior and comfortable armchairs”. A ride on the yellow train costs PLN 12 and is supposed to provide “unforgettable impressions”. Olkusz – Kraków Główny The yellow train bears the papal coat of arms and the motto of the pontificate of the Polish pope – “Totus Tuus” (Latin: all yours).

The appearance of a new connection in the schedule is – as the voivode Łukasz Kmita himself admitted in social media – his idea. The politician thanked the Polregio management for their “positive attitude” towards him. He emphasized that the yellow train can go on its way thanks to the cooperation with the Marshal’s Office of the Małopolskie Voivodeship.
