There are less and less car theft in Poland, but the police still find more hollows

The detainees are three car thieves. They specialized in theft of Korean brands. The merchant of a stolen car led the police to a criminal hollow, where another two gang members were detained, who disassembled cars for parts.

At least several dozen cars stolen and decreased – this is their earlier work. – Legalization of a stolen vehicle is incredibly complicated, it requires a lot of west, and in the case of some less effort is – explains an operational officer from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Łódź.

– GPS signals, camera detectors, eavesdrop detectors were also detained by them – says Paweł Jasiak from the District Prosecutor's Office in Łódź.

In the vicinity of Gdańsk, CBŚP managed to stop another seven thieves. At the moment we have set theft of about 40 vehicles – informs an operational officer from the Central Police Investigation Bureau. They also stole into parts – mainly Mercedes.

Not all stolen cars are immediately dismantled by criminals. Some are used to commit other crimes. In Warsaw, a special group to fight car thieves tracked down a man who drove a stolen car.

– he attempted to escape. This attempt to escape was ineffective. After a short pursuit, the police caught up with a man, overpowered him – informs young inspector Robert Szumiata from the Warsaw Police Headquarters.

It turned out that it was a double bull's -eye. 92 kilograms of drugs, amphetamine, hashish and marijuana were found in the car and apartment of the detained. – The value of the vehicle amounted to about PLN 250,000, while the drug value is about PLN 5 million – says the operational officer of the Warsaw Police Headquarters.

Among other things, thanks to such actions last year the number of cars in Poland has dropped. A few -year -old cars are most often stolen all the time. New are stolen less often, because thieves must have time to develop new, factory security.

Toyota disappeared most often last year. Audi, BMW, Volkswagen and Mercedes are also at the forefront of stolen cars. There are a lot of these cars in Poland, which is why cheap parts for them are the most sought after.
