An appeal for caution when returning

Over the next several dozen hours, we will be returning home in large numbers. Let's drive safely, and if necessary, remember about the corridor of life – appeal to firefighters from Tenczynek in Lesser Poland, who on Thursday, due to heavy traffic combined with road renovation, had serious problems reaching the site of a collision of several cars on the A4 motorway.

– A firefighter came out and moved the cars that were still standing in front of him so that, to put it mildly, they “hugged each other” so that he could get back into the right lane. They drove a short distance and then the same thing happened – says Katarzyna Kowal, president of the Tenczynek Volunteer Fire Department.

Firefighters estimate that they lost up to 10 minutes due to traffic jams. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries at the scene. – Most often, the image of the corridor of life that is presented, which is visible, is an image in which vehicles are on the right and left, and the corridor should be in the middle. There are situations when, unfortunately, we cannot do it this way, then we stand where possible, on the right side – points out Michał Kusy, firefighter at the Tenczynek Volunteer Fire Department.
