We cannot take part in this whole farce, which is intended only for the Olympics during the election campaign – said Marzena Okła-Drewnowicz in “Kampania #BezKitu”, referring to the “lex Tusk” act, establishing a commission for examining the influence of Russia. Piotr Król (PiS) argued that “the point is to show people how deep these influences went”. “If you don’t have something on your conscience, what is there to be afraid of?”

MPs Piotr Król from Law and Justice and Marzena Okła-Drewnowicz from the Civic Coalition spoke about “lex Tusk” in the “Kampania #BezKitu” program on TVN24. On Friday, the Sejm adopted an amendment to the law on the commission for examining Russian influence. It will now go to the Senate.

Okła-Drewnowicz announced that she had abstained from voting. – After all, we cannot participate in this whole farce, which is intended only for the games during the election campaign – she argued. – Anyway, PiS has already convinced itself that it will not go, so now there is another topic, that is, now there are migrants. You can see that you are just nodding yourself – she said.

“It’s about showing people how deep these influences ran.”

King argued that “the purpose of this commission is two things”. – First of all, she was not appointed only for this term of office – he said, adding that it would be a permanent body.

– We border on a country that largely uses terrorist methods. (…) It seems that from the point of view of Poland’s security it is good that a permanent body be established. (…) We wrote down that these reports (of the commission – ed.) are to be annual, ie the embassy Russia should know that there is such a body in Poland, said Król.

– Secondly, the majority of Poles, in our opinion, are not aware of how deep the Russian influence was in Poland – he continued PiS MP. According to him, “the point is to show people how deep these influences ran.” “If you don’t have something on your conscience, what is there to be afraid of?”

“We need to investigate why coal imports have tripled under your rule”

– We are not afraid of anything, because we have nothing to be afraid of – the KO MP replied to him.

– There should be a commission, an investigative commission, established in accordance with the Polish constitution and Article 111, first of all. Because it is really necessary to examine why coal imports tripled under your rule, windmills were liquidated, almost two billion zlotys were spent, under the supervision of the Minister of Energy, on the power plant in Ostrołęka, which was then dismantled. Indeed, there are many of these threads. Why just before Russia’s aggression on Ukraine you received Putin’s supporters in Warsaw with all honours, she enumerated. She explained that she was Marine LePenMatteo Salvini and Viktor Orban.

In the program, representatives of the young generation spoke about current political events: Melissa Płocharska (Gadka Senacka), Zuzanna Karcz (House of Peaceful Youth, educational activist), Anna Wardak (Young Left), Jakub Paduch (councillor of Ostrów Wielkopolski on behalf of KO).
