The new week will bring a change in the weather. After an exceptionally hot and sunny start to September, the weather will worsen on Monday in the western regions. In addition to cooling, the forecast for the coming days shows rain. The first snow of the season may appear in the Tatras at the end of next week.
– Poland will be under the influence of a vast low in the next 24 hours, stretching from the Norwegian Sea, through the North Sea and Central Europe, to the Adriatic. A cold atmospheric front will separate hot air of tropical origin from the much colder, fresh mass of polar air from the northern Atlantic – informs tvnmeteo.pl weather forecaster Damian Zdonek.
Weather change on Monday
It generally shouldn't rain at night, but the situation will change during the day. From the southwest, cloudiness will increase to total with rain moving into the country. In the western provinces, it will fall to 10-20 liters per square meter, and locally in the belt of central Poland it will be 2-5 l/m2.
The maximum temperature will be from 22 degrees Celsius in the west of the country to 27 degrees Celsius in the east. The wind will be moderate, quite strong in gusts, southeasterly turning from west to west.
Cooler and a little rain, a little sun
In the coming days, as the weather forecaster predicts, the weather in our country will be mostly shaped by low pressure systems. – Much cooler and more humid air will flow in, which will result in more cloudiness and temporary rainfall – he explains.
Tuesday in all regions will be marked by heavy cloudiness with occasional rain up to 1-5 l/m2. Thermometers will show from 16°C in the west to 22°C in the east of Poland. Moderate winds from the west will blow.
Wednesday looks quite sunny. However, from the west, there will be an increase in cloudiness with occasional rain. The maximum temperature will reach from 18 degrees Celsius in Western Pomerania to 24 degrees Celsius in the Lower Silesia region. The wind will generally be moderate from the south-west, only gusty in the west. Sunny weather is forecast for most of the country on Thursday. Only in western Poland will it be cloudy and there will be rain. Thermometers will show from 19 degrees Celsius in Lower Silesia to 26 degrees Celsius in Podkarpacie. Snow possible in the Tatras
Friday will be cloudy with rain in the western half of the country. There will also be some showers in the east and there are possible storms. It is possible that in Tatra Mountains there will be light snowfall. The temperature will be from 20 degrees Celsius in Western Pomerania to 26 degrees Celsius in the Podkarpacie region. The wind will be moderate, southwest.
