I am convinced that talks with outstanding experts are underway – said Tomasz Zimoch, MP from Poland 2050, in “Fakty po Faktach”, referring to the plans to restore the rule of law in Poland by the new parliamentary majority. – These are the first steps we have taken towards the rule of law – said Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz, an MP from the Civic Coalition, speaking in this context about the election of new members of the neo-KRS by the Sejm.
On Tuesday, MPs elected members of the neo-KRS from the Sejm. These are the candidates of the democratic opposition: Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz, Robert Kropiwnicki, Tomasz Zimoch and Anna Maria Żukowska. Candidates PIS – Marek Ast, Bartosz Kownacki, Arkadiusz Mularczyk and Kazimierz Smoliński – lost in the vote.

Gasiuk-Pihowicz: these are the first steps we have taken towards the rule of law
Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz was the first to speak. – The MP, myself and two more of our colleagues, i.e. four representatives of the Sejm, were elected to the National Council of the Judiciary in accordance with the constitution. In a moment, two more Senate members will be elected, and in a moment there will also be another new member of the National Council of the Judiciary, i.e. the Minister of Justice, and these are the first steps we are taking towards the rule of law, with more to come, she said.
As she said, “we are in a difficult situation” because “thanks to the gift given by President Andrzej Duda, the current government is still governed by “people who hate democracy, who have done everything to destroy the independence of the justice system and still have institutions with which they can either make it difficult for us or , or prevent this process of repairing the rule of law.

The MP was asked about the ideas and plans of the parliamentary majority to restore the rule of law in Poland. – To be deadly serious, I cannot afford the risk of revealing our intentions step by step due to the fact that we have people on the other side who may take subversive actions – she replied.

Tomasz Zimoch also commented on the matter. – It has never happened before that members of the National Council of the Judiciary were elected so quickly in the first hours of the new term of office of the Sejm. It has already happened, he said. – Marshal Szymon Hołownia In his first hours in office, so to speak, he met with an outstanding legal authority, Professor Adam Strzembosz – he added.

– As I know Szymon Hołownia – I do not know the details of this conversation, it lasted over an hour – I am convinced that Professor Strzembosz gave many good, wise tips. The office is headed by an outstanding lawyer, the brain of the future of Polish politics and the rule of law, Stanisław Zakrzyczymski, said Zimoch.
