The Szmaragdowe Lake is an artificial water reservoir located on the outskirts of the Bukowa Primeval Forest. In the 19th century, a chalk and marl mine operated here. In 1925, the mine was flooded as a result of hitting underground waters. There are still remains of mining machinery and equipment at the bottom of the lake.
