Two men detained by the Greater Poland police face up to 20 years in prison. The suspects appeared near the hall where the police had previously entered. In the building, the officers found substances for producing mephedrone. Tanks with liquid were found in the detained men's car.
After several months of investigation, the police entered a warehouse in one of the towns near Poznań. According to their knowledge, prohibited substances were produced in this place.
– Inside they found a complete mephedrone production line. The police seized nearly 2,000 liters of precursors, which, when properly mixed, can be used to produce the finished drug. After a few hours, a bus arrived at the warehouse. The men who were inside the car saw the policemen and tried to run away. They were quickly detained – reports junior inspector. It turned out that the cargo area of ​​the bus contained a thousand liter tanks filled with liquid. The police secured these substances and inspected the vehicle, the hall and the places of residence of the detained men.
They face up to 20 years in prison
The detained are a 54-year-old from the PoznaÅ„ district and a 29-year-old from PoznaÅ„. In the men's apartments, the officers seized money and various types of drugs, such as mephedrone and cocaine. – Both were charged with producing large amounts of narcotic drugs, which is punishable by up to 20 years in prison. At the request of the District Prosecutor's Office in SzamotuÅ‚y, they were temporarily arrested by court decision, adds Borowiak.
The police announce that they will still try to determine the source of the precursors used in the production of mephedrone.
