Holidays in Poland cost more and more. In a survey conducted by Kantar for “Fakty” TVN and TVN24 at the beginning of June, as many as half of Poles declared that this year they would significantly reduce their holiday expenses, which can be seen in seaside resorts. Our country is also becoming more and more expensive for foreign tourists. According to Eurostat data, we are approaching the level of prices in Spain or Portugal.

Krakow is one of the most popular Polish cities visited by tourists, also in summer. However, due to high prices and inflation, not everyone can afford to travel. – For several days I have noticed that there are few tourists – notes one of the visitors.

A family of four – two adults and two children – would cost PLN 1,412 to visit all Krakow’s attractions. – Wawel is very expensive. There is no such accessibility as it used to be – assesses one of the tourists.

There are also plenty of attractions in the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw. However, for a normal ticket, which allows you to visit all the attractions, you have to pay PLN 42, and for a reduced ticket PLN 29. – This is a price comparable to the price of cinema tickets – notes Katarzyna Nowicka, spokeswoman for the Copernicus Science Centre.

Holidays in Poland are getting more and more expensive

A survey conducted by Kantar for “Fakty” TVN and TVN24 in early June showed that more than half of Poles intend to reduce holiday spending. In turn, 39 percent of the respondents declared that they are not planning such a step.

However, tourists who have decided to spend their holidays in Kołobrzeg have their own ways of saving money. – We have an apartment with its own kitchen, so breakfast and dinner are on your own, and we always go somewhere for lunch – reveals one of the women. The cost of dinner for a family of four can also be quite high. – We ate fish in four people, we paid PLN 350. It’s not cheap, but it’s high season, notes Katarzyna.

In the season, i.e. from Easter to the end of September, the entrance to the pier in Sopot is also payable. – There are special family tickets, this year, at the request of older tourists, we have introduced discount tickets for people 70 plus – informs Magdalena Czarzyńska-Jachim, vice-president of Sopot.

Seniors will pay PLN 8, while a ticket without a discount for one person costs PLN 10. A family of four will pay PLN 22 after discounts. On the other hand, such a family has to pay 300 zlotys for a one-way cruise from Gdańsk to Sopot, but there is no shortage of volunteers. We decide anyway. We came from far away, it’s a pity not to use it – says one of the tourists.

Those who come to Poland for holidays from abroad have a completely different approach to prices. – I do not have a good comparison, because I live abroad, but for us it is very cheap – thinks Ms. Danuta.

However, Poland is becoming more and more expensive on the tourist map of Europe, according to Business Insider’s analysis based on Eurostat data. Out of 31 analyzed countries, Poland ranks 12th, and the price level is similar to those in Spain or Portugal.
