Terrified, helpless, sometimes left to themselves and their survival instincts. Pets, farm animals and those from shelters urgently need help. Temporary homes, transport to a safe place, collections of food and medicine are being organised throughout the country.
Cold, wet, stressed. Dogs, cats, horses and other animals – are being taken out of the flooded areas with whatever they can. They are even being evacuated by military helicopters. – The problem with animals is that people have to think about them. And it's very good that they do – emphasizes Iwona Duda, president of the Sarigato Foundation, karmimypsiaki.pl portal. A lonely dog left on an island in Krosnowice was rescued, and dogs that were released when the buildings were flooded are returning to the destroyed shelter in Kłodzko. The rest are waiting in temporary homes. – We gave away dogs that did not want to go with these strangers, they did not know them – informs Marzena Cupiał from the “Pod Psią Gwiazdą” Shelter in Kłodzko.
A similar thing happened in Oława. The residents of the shelter located right next to the Odra River took in all the dogs and cats. – Oława mobilized incredibly and managed to secure everything – says Alicja Michałowicz from the shelter in Oława.

Full mobilization also in Wrocław. The response to the zoo's appeal for help in flood protection was enormous. – It is impossible to describe in words how wonderful the people of Wrocław are, how wonderfully they reacted to our one signal that we need help here – confesses Sergiusz Kmiecik from the Wrocław Zoo.
Where the water has already passed, help is also needed. – We really need everything. Money, people, everything. We have nothing – confesses Marzena Cupiał.
The shelter in Kłodzko is collecting money for reconstruction, but there are dozens of collections for the animals. Flood relief points are also collecting food, which is needed the most today. – In the near future, the whole mass of food will be hundreds of kilograms of food needed to protect these animals, and medicines – indicates Iwona Duda.
