The billionaires present at the inauguration of Donald Trump lost a total of 182 billion dollars of the property – according to the estimates of the Bloomberg agency. In just seven weeks, the fortunes of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Marek Zuckerberg have shrunk so violently.
The period between the election and the inauguration of Trump was extremely beneficial for the world's estates of the Krezus. It is a time between November 5, 2024 and January 20, 2025. It was then that the S&P 500 stock index (covering 500 enterprises with the largest capitalization – ed.) He reached record levels several times – Bloomberg pointed out.
After the election, investors “rushed to stock markets and cryptocurrencies, hoping that Trump's policy would be beneficial for business.” This made the shares of companies such as Tesla or Meta Platforms to jump by several dozen percent.
However, after swearing in, the first weeks of rule quickly cooled the mood. “Since Donald Trump took the office, the S&P 500 index has lost 6.4 percent, and the mass dismissals of government employees and uncertain policy on customs caused confusion on the stock exchanges,” the agency wrote.
The biggest losses after the inauguration of Trump
Companies belonging to the billionaires present at the inauguration of Trump are one of the greatest losers. From January 17, they were to lose $ 1.39 trillion (less than 5 trillions) of market value.
According to Bloomberg's estimates, only three billionaires – Musk, Bezos and Zuckerberg – lost $ 182 billion (about 700 billion zlotys) in total.

Elon Musk (minus $ 148 billion)
In December, the value of the head of Tesla Elon Musk reached a record level of $ 486 billion, which is the highest value recorded in the Bloomberg index. Most of his profits were generated by Tesla, whose shares almost doubled after the election. Since then, the profits began to fall violently.
“The sale of Tesla in Germany fell by 70 percent in the first two months of 2025. Shipping to China also decreased by as much as 49 percent, i.e. levels not observed since July 2022,” the agency said.
Jeff Bezos (minus $ 29 billion)
Jeff Bezos – the owner of Amazon – donated a million dollars to the Trump inaugural fund in December. According to Bloomberg, he also ate dinner with the president last month and announced that his newspaper would prioritize articles on personal freedom and free market. Amazon shares have fallen by 14 percent since January 17.
Mark Zuckerberg (minus $ 5 billion)
The meta Mark Zuckerberg also recorded significant profits after Trump's victory. As Bloomberg pointed out, the platform's share prices from mid -January to mid -February increased by 19 percent, but since then the course began to fall and returned to earlier levels.
