The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management warns against dense fog that may limit visibility. Check where to be especially careful.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) issued level 1 warnings.

IMWM warnings – dense fog

Yellow warnings due to dense fog apply in the following voivodeships:

  • Pomeranian;
  • West Pomeranian Voivodeship;
  • Podlasie;
  • Masovian Voivodeship;
  • Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship;
  • Greater Polandin north-eastern and eastern counties;
  • Lubuskie;
  • Łódź;
  • Lower Silesiain the counties located in the west and in Oława and Strzelin counties;
  • Opole provincein the poviats of Brzeg and Nysa;
  • Silesianin north-eastern, central and south-western counties;
  • Lesser Polandexcluding central counties;
  • Podkarpackiein northern counties;
  • Lublin Province;
  • Świętokrzyskie.

Dense fog, locally freezing, is forecast, with visibility in places below 200 meters. The alarms will be valid from 6 p.m. on Sunday until 11 on Monday.

What are IMWM first level warnings?

Conditions are expected to favor the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by road traffic, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and developments in the weather situation.
