The Baltica 2 wind farm design is 1.5 GW of power and thus one of the largest such power plants in the world. PGE Baltica is responsible for the implementation of offshore projects of the largest electricity producer in Poland. – says Bartosz Fedurek President PGE Baltica. We invite you to send a conversation.

Baltica 2 is the largest in terms of production capacity of the marine wind energy so -called And phases, currently implemented in the Polish part of the Baltyc Sea. Build it together PGE and Ørsted. Its power of 1498 MW will allow the production of green energy from the wind for approx. 2.5 million recipients – including houses, hospitals, schools, office and enterprises. This marine wind farm significantly contributes to the transformation of the Polish energy.

The sea part of the Baltica 2 project will be created in the Polish part of the Balltic Belt between Ustk ± and Choczew. Baltica 2 will consider 107 turbines with a power of 14 MW, which will be located on an area of approx. 190 km. The distance from the shore to the nearest turbine at sea will be about 40 km. The turbines will be set on the foundations in the form of monopala. Four sea transformer stations will be built for the sea wind farm.

The liability of the project, i.e. infrastructure, necessary for the functioning of Baltica 2, will be located in the town of Osieka Lêborskie, in the commune of Choczewo, in the Wejherowo poviat. The orthodox transformer station and underground cable lines, which allow electricity produced by sea wind farms to a lodge transformer station, will be consistent. The electricity will be found to the national power system.

In the second half of 2027, we will give the whole wind farm to exploit, but the first prisoner of it in the first half of 2027. We have also been working in Choczewo since last year, where a lone power output infrastructure is created. And we are starting the building of the operating and service base in Ustka any moment

– says Bartosz Fedurek, president of PGE Baltica.

The operating and service base, from which the Baltica 2 turbines will be served, will be built in a south-western part of the port in Ustka. Her task will be technical supervision over sea wind farms. It will consist of an administrative building and spare warehouse. Service units will be cumed at the quay. The many years of functioning of the service base in Ustka will be a developmental impulse for the city and the entire region through the potential to create new jobs in the port area. The commissioning of the operational and service base is planned in 2026.

The development of marine wind energy is not only energy security, but also an opportunity for regions and the entire economy. This is a symbol of upcoming changes in the Polish energy sector. We are today for talking and presenting a perspective that shows how offshore elevators can realize the future of Polish energy.
