This is how members of management boards of listed companies earn

According to Sedlak & Sedlak, the report analyzed data on the remuneration of 1,192 managers, including 860 people who worked throughout 2022, from 320 companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

“The report divides total remuneration into basic remuneration, variable remuneration, other benefits and remuneration from subsidiaries,” we read.

The report shows that in 2022, the median annual remuneration of people on the management boards of listed companies amounted to PLN 873.7 thousand. zloty. 25 percent managers earned less than PLN 498.7, and 25 percent more than PLN 1.59 million.

The sectors in which wages are the highest are the fuel industry, the insurance industry, the banking sector and the chemical industry. According to the report, the median annual total remuneration of managers in these industries ranges between PLN 1.65 million and PLN 2.17 million. “In turn, the median basic salaries in these sectors were between PLN 0.97 million and PLN 1.18 million,” it was reported.

According to the analysis, in 2022 the highest-paid manager was the president of the management board of PCC Rokita SA, who received remuneration of over PLN 43.3 million gross. Second place was taken by the vice-president of the management board of the same company. His earnings amounted to PLN 37 million. The next places were taken by the presidents of companies such as Comarch SA, Ciech SA and Erbud SA, whose annual remuneration amounted to PLN 11.1 million, PLN 8.4 million and PLN 7.7 million, respectively.

The authors of the report pointed out that a systematic increase in managers’ remuneration has been observed since 2015, and in 2022 they increased by approximately 1.3%. compared to 2021.
