The Apple Watch Series 10, unveiled at Monday's conference, is 10 percent thinner and lighter than its predecessor. This was made possible by the use of a new aluminum case, which replaced stainless steel. The new cases also have more rounded edges and widened image proportions.
In addition to the standard aluminum case, the Apple Watch Series 10 will also be available with a polished aluminum case in onyx color and an aircraft-grade titanium version. The new watch is additionally covered with Ion-X glass on the front (in the case of the aluminum case) or sapphire glass (in the case of the titanium case).
Apple Watch Series 10, the largest screen ever
The real hero, however, is the improved OLED display. Its surface area is up to 30 percent larger than that of the Apple Watch Series 4/5/6 and up to 9 percent larger compared to the Apple Watch Series 7/8/9. In this respect, the Series 10 screen even beats the Apple Watch Ultra 2, which previously had the largest display.
The new wide-view display optimizes each pixel to emit more light at a wider angle, making the screen up to 40 percent brighter when viewed at an angle than the Series 9. The panel has a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits.
Apple Watch Series 10 features a new S10 chip with a quad-core Neural Engine that integrates watch functions with Siri. New features include sleep apnea notifications, depth and temperature measurement for water activities, and a new Tides app.
The new S10 system is also supposed to be more energy efficient, which will have a positive impact on the Watch 10's battery life on a single charge. Unfortunately, it still doesn't impress. Especially if we compare the watch to popular watches from Garmin or Huawei. On a single charge, the Series 10 will last up to 18 hours (in standard mode) or up to 36 hours (in low power consumption mode). The good news is the fast charging function. After 30 minutes, the battery will fill up to about 80 percent, which is quite a decent result. 15 minutes of refilling the battery is enough for about eight hours of normal use, and 8 minutes of charging – for eight hours of using the sleep monitoring function.
The new Apple Watch Series 10 has an improved set of built-in speakers that will allow us not only to make voice calls, but also play music, podcasts, and audiobooks.
As Apple points out, the watch also uses a new voice isolation neural network powered by a 4-core Neural Engine to reduce background noise during phone calls and FaceTime audio calls.

Perhaps the most interesting surprise (at least from the perspective of a Polish user) is the reduction in prices of the Apple Watch SE, the cheapest Apple watch. For the first time, it is available at a three-digit price. The basic version with a 40 mm case costs PLN 999.
