This is the effect of the exhaustion of Jarosław Kaczyński's leadership model – said Michał Kamiński, Deputy Speaker of the Senate, in “Fakty po Faktach”, commenting on the problems with PiS's election of the Speaker in Małopolska, where it has a majority in the regional assembly. – It's not like it happened suddenly. It's a long-term process, of which we are now seeing a spectacular end – said Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska (KO).

During Thursday's session of the Małopolska regional assembly, the election for marshal was won by the new PiS candidate – Łukasz Smółka, who had previously been vice-marshal. Previously, the candidacy of MP Łukasz Kmita had been rejected five times, despite Jarosław Kaczyński himself pushing for it. The president finally gave in under pressure from his own councilors, who rebelled.

This matter was discussed by the guests of “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 – Deputy Speaker of the Senate Michał Kamiński (PSL-TD) and Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska (KO).

Kamiński: Jarosław Kaczyński's leadership model has run out

As Michał Kamiński stated, “this is the effect of the exhaustion of Jarosław Kaczyński's leadership model”. – This model ended when Jarosław Kaczyński told his councillors that they should vote for the candidate he indicated for marshal, and these councillors failed to do so five times – he said.

– They were thrown out of Law and Justice, and then, in exchange for rebelling, they were appointed to the provincial board and the candidate for marshal is not the candidate previously nominated by Jarosław Kaczyński – he continued.

Kluzik-Rostkowska: it didn't happen suddenly

– Individual groups in the United Right had their own bags of public money that they used for their political purposes, because there is also the Justice Fund, but there is also the NCBR, there are the State Forests, there is the Ministry of Sport, there is the Ministry of Education, there is a lot of it – began Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska.

– All this happened because individual groups had been preparing for a long time to be relatively strong within the United Right, so it's not like it happened suddenly. It's a long-term process, of which we're now seeing a spectacular end – she added.
