Wołodymyr Zelnski, Donald Tusk, as well as the President of France Emmanuel Macron, the Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz take part in Friday in the peak of the European Political Community in Tirana.
– This week we had a real chance for peace, but Russian leader Vladimir Putin was afraid to come to Turkey and sent a delegation that has no mandate to make decisions – said Wołodymyr Zelnski during the plenary session.
The details of the telephone conversation of leaders with Donald Trump have not yet been disclosed.

On the same day, when the peak in Tirana takes place, negotiations between Ukrainian and Russian delegations are in Istanbul.
As a spokesman for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Heorhij Tychy noted before the meeting, for the Ukrainian delegation the priority in negotiations will be full, unconditional and permanent suspension of weapons. It will be an indicator of the Russians' readiness for constructive actions in Istanbul.

Tirana. The peak of the European Political Community
The sixth peak of the European Political Community (EPC) takes place in Tirana on Friday. Leaders from over 40 countries, representatives of the European Union and NATO, including Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, came to the capital of Albania.
The conversations will take part, among others The President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelnski, head of EU diplomacy Kaja Kallas, chairwoman of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer or German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Giorgia Melonia, leaders of the Balkan countries Heads of government or head of EU member states. The peak will be chaired by the head of the European Council Antonio Costa and the Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama.
The meeting takes place under the slogan: “New Europe in Nowy Świat” and is devoted to issues related to Europe's security, including help from Ukraine and the desire to establish a fair and lasting peace in the war of this country with Russia and to protect democratic values.
EPC was established in May 2022 as an intergovernmental platform that facilitates the coordination of political and economic initiatives of European countries. It was created in response to Russian full -size aggression to Ukraine.
French President Emmanuel Macron, in a speech in the European Parliament, at that time came out with the initiative to create a “new European organization, giving democratic European nations space to cooperate in the fields of security and economic cooperation, including energy, investment or infrastructure.”
