Tomasz Wasilewski, presenter of tvnmeteo.pl, told TVN24 that it is related to the belt of high-pressure systems over Europe and hot, dry air from Africa. It will be hot not only in Poland.

As Tomasz Wasilewski, presenter of tvnmeteo.pl, explained in the program “You get up and the weekend”, in part of the country Sunday promises to be hot from the very morning – before 7 am in the morning Zielona Góra thermometers showed 19 degrees Celsius, aw in Warsaw slightly less, because 18 degrees C. More clouds will appear over the UK on Sunday. The weather in that part of the continent is shaped by the low, located to the west of Ireland – there are rainfall and fronts storms. The inhabitants of London will see 22 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

“The second rainfall zone is here in the east of Europe,” the presenter explained, pointing to the map.

Between the two lows there is a series of high pressure systems: over Scandinavia, Central Europe and the Mediterranean Sea.

– The belt of high-pressure weather in this place, in a huge area of Europe, provides sunny and hot weather at the same time. Between this low (…) over Great Britain and these highlands, which are in the center of the continent, hot and very hot air flows from the south, from Africa – said Wasilewski. – There is and will be heat in our part of Europe. (…) Such a stream was formed, such a highway of hot air.

Sunday will be hot not only in Poland. In Madrid, a temperature of 35 degrees Celsius is forecast, and it will be similarly hot in the Balkans.

– It seems that this intrusion of hot air from the south of Europe and from Africa to the center of the continent and even further north, will continue for many more days, with varying intensity. It’s not like it will be 32 degrees every day, (…) but we will not miss this hot air in the coming days, in the coming week – added the presenter.
