Top of the Top Sopot Festival 2024. Who will win the Amber Nightingale? The concert is today – what time and how to vote

The Top of the Top Sopot Festival 2024 is underway. During the first day of the event at the Forest Opera, you could hear, among others, Lady Pank, Blue Cafe, Wilki, Sylwia Grzeszczak, Kwiat Jabłoni, Sarsa and the group Wanda i Banda. They performed their greatest hits and many songs in new arrangements. The event was broadcast live on TVN.

On Tuesday, the audience can expect performances by Nosowska, Agnieszka Chylińska, Zalewski, Kasia Kowalska, Ørganek, Natalia Kukulska, Natalia Szroeder, Grubson, Błażej Król and Rubens. The concert “Cudowne lata 90” will be broadcast live on TVN from 7:55 p.m. It can also be watched on Player.

On the second day of the Top of the Top Sopot Festival, there will also be a competition for the Amber Nightingale statuette. Seven nominees will appear on stage. The concert will be broadcast live on TVN from 9:50 p.m. It can also be watched on Player.

The Amber Nightingale is a statuette with a long tradition. It was first awarded in 1984. It was won by Anne Veski and Eva Maria Pickert. Since then, the circumstances and criteria for awarding it have changed many times. Currently, the winner of the award is chosen by voting. During this year's edition of the Top of the Top Sopot Festival, it will take place on the tvn.pl portal and via text message.

A year ago the statuette was won by the duo Kwiat JabłoniThe winners of the Amber Nightingale also include: Michal Szpak, David Kwiatkowski or Roksana Węgiel. On Tuesday, rising stars of the Polish music market will compete for the prestigious award: Carol Markovsky, Marta Bijan, Paula Bishop, Oskar Cyms, Zalia, Arek Kłusowski and Teo Tomczuk.

Carol Markovsky is a rock band. The TVN portal describes it as “bursting with energy, which raises the audience's temperature with each song”. Its achievements include the debut mini-album entitled “Prąd i Jazz” and the single “Więcej Ciebie” released four years ago.

Marta Bijan viewers of the station could watch in the fourth edition of the program “X Factor”. The artist reached the final and ultimately took second place. What she currently sounds like can be heard in her latest single entitled “Nie ma Cię tu”.

The audience of the Top of the Top Sopot Festival may also remember the performances on TVN Paula Bishop. In 2022, the artist took part in the show “Mam talent” broadcast there. She is the author of songs such as “Walczyk”, “Francuska 8”, “Balbalbal” or the popular single “Nie pobocz” in the spring. Julia Zarzecka, better known as Zalia. Her work focuses on alt-pop, pop-rock and R&B. Two years ago she released her debut album “Kocham i tęśćę” and is currently working on another album. She has already released two singles from it: “Znowu sam” and “Motyl”.

He has also performed in the talent show in the past. Arek Klusowski. According to the TVN portal, the vocalist is gifted with “one of the most interesting voices in the industry”. He has already released three studio albums: “Po tyle stronie”, “Lumpeks” and “Zależości w miłości” – and has collaborated with artists such as Kayah, Justyna Steczkowska and Doda.

The Amber Nightingale will also compete Oskar Cyms. The pop singer gained popularity after releasing the single “Daj mi znac”. It received a platinum record certificate in May. The competition for the statuette will also include Teo Tomczuk. He presented himself to a wider audience in the 15th edition of the program “Mam Talent”. In his work he combines pop and rock. In parallel with his music career, Tomczuk develops his acting activity.
