Top Of The Top Sopot Festival. Oskar Cyms won the hearts of listeners. Who is the winner of the Amber Nightingale?

The artists competing for the Amber Nightingale performed on the second day of the Top Of The Top Sopot Festival. Among the nominees were: Marta Bijan, Paula Biskup, Oskar Cyms, Arek Kłusowski, Carol Markovsky, Teo Tomczuk and Zalia. The most votes from the audience were received by Oskar Cyms for the song “Cały czas” and it was he who received the statuette from the hands of the mayor of Sopot, Magdalena Czarzyńska-Jachim.

– Once again, good evening to all… oh my God, what happened here today – said the vocalist right after receiving the Golden Nightingale. – Three years ago, right here in Sopot on Monciak, I was playing on the street and then, when I was 21, I would never have thought that I would be holding this statuette in my hand on the stage of the Forest Opera – he continued.

The singer also summed up his last Sopot performance on social media. “I'll be collecting myself for a long time after this evening… I can't believe it. I'm just happy. Gratitude,” he wrote on Facebook.

Oskar Cyms, currently 24, has been singing since he was a child. He joined a choir when he was still a primary school student. As he admitted in an interview with Plejada.pl, he gave up karate for music. – I started going to choir rehearsals, but unfortunately, at the same time there were karate trainings that I attended. I wouldn't be able to reconcile that. So I had to choose something. I decided to follow the musical path and I think I did the right thing – he said in 2023.

Cyms recorded his debut single, “Tylebym dava” in 2021. The singer gained popularity a year later, after the premiere of the single “Daj mi zna”. In May of this year, it achieved platinum status. It was followed by other hits, including “Niech Mówi” and “Na niebo”. The singer's fans did not have to wait long for his debut album, “Nigdy przed” – it was released last year. The song “Cały czas”, performed on Tuesday in Sopot, is a preview of the artist's second album.

Top of the Top Sopot Festival is co-organized by TVN. The station belongs to the Warner Bros. Discovery group, owner of TVN24.
