This year's Top of the Top Sopot Festival starts in a few days. The star of the first day of the event will be, among others, Sarsa. The singer told TVN24 about her struggles with a serious illness, which was the inspiration for the creation of a new single. – This song shows that you can transform the most difficult situation into something good – she says.
Sarsa was a guest on the program “Wstajesz i wiesz” just a few hours after the premiere of her new single “Jak w film”. The artist, who appeared in the TVN24 studio alongside – as she herself admitted – her “alter ego” from the video for the new song, spoke, among other things, about her performance on the first day of this year's Top of the Top Sopot Festival.
– I am very happy to be back in Sopot, I have a great fondness for this stage. We will play a fantastic song with the duet “Kępiński >|< Kowalonek", the single "Kintsugi", but there will also be my songs, which I think the audience also associates well with Sopot: "Butterflies and Moths", "I miss you" - said the singer.
– Sopot is magic. It's also cool that each concert is directed thanks to the audience, their reactions – she added.

Sarsa about her illness
During the conversation, Sarsa returned to film motifs, referring to the premiere song. – When I found out that I had otosclerosis, a disease that leads to total deafness, I felt like I was acting in a movie – she said, explaining that “Jak w filmy” was created shortly after she underwent ear surgery. – I somehow conjured reality in such a way that a very cool song was created (…) It gives me joy because it shows that it can work out, that it doesn't have to be the worst, that you can turn the most difficult situation into something good – she said.
Sarsa also admitted that a documentary about her struggles with the disease is currently being made. – There are many extremely intimate scenes, including strictly surgical ones – she revealed on TVN24.
Top of the Top Sopot Festival
Nearest Top of the Top Sopot Festival will take place on August 19-22. The festival will open with “Sopot Night Fever” – a concert during which, in addition to Sarsa, the following will perform on stage: Lady Pank, Kayah & Bum Bum Orkestar & FiśBanda, Wilki, Kwiat Jabłoni and Blue Café. The entire festival will be broadcast live on TVN.
